Question - How To Get Gauss Loops Into A Song?
Hi all,
Long time desktop user (20 years PC / Cubase), but fairly new to ios music making.
I'm using Cubasis 3, and have been buying lots of apps and having so much fun (Audio Damage Replicant 2 is my favourite so far).
Anyway, I have Gauss Field Looper, and I've been watching videos that explain what all of the dials and buttons do, but when I get a loop up and running, I can't figure out how to record that loop into an audio track in cubasis so that I can edit, chop, add further effects, have it as part of a song so that I can for example have the loop on certain sections, etc...
I haven't found a video that explains how to do this.
It might be a really simple thing to do, but I'm having a block and just can't figure it out.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi, sorry, don’t mean to nag but could you add a question mark to your title? It’s not clear whether you’re asking for advice or giving it. Especially because it is in the general discussion category.
Apologies!
I'm a bit rubbish with Internet forums.
I've added the question mark.
Cheers!
Haha, no big deal, it's just you'll get more targeted audience to your post. Good luck!
Hey, any Cubasis 3 experts out there that could help out on this one? It looks like it escaped notice...
That’s a good question!
Off the top of my head I’d say you could probably just record it into Cubasis routed through AUM. Or record directly out of AUM into AudioShare, then import from there.
I haven’t tested it in Cubasis but thinking about it, the simplest way should be via AUv3 loaded in Cubasis and just press record... hang on, I’m not sure about the routing there lol.
Isn’t there a simple export in Gauss to export the loop?
I have a sneaky install on the phone... if you solo the track with Gauss on it and then create a mixdown that will get you the audio file you're after. You can choose to record within locators so you can choose how many bars you want to record for. I think that might be your best bet without going through silly routing outside of the app...and then you just import the mixdown part onto the audio track you want it on.
Gauss doesn't have the ability to save the recording inside the AUv3 plugin window. It relies on the host app to take care of this.
Thank you for the replies. It sounds like mixing down the soloed Gauss track and then importing the file might be the easiest way (I don't use AUM).
I really appreciate the help. Cheers!
Yo, Mister!
I created a Gauss loop loop in AUM and then recorded it using AUMs record function. I tidied up the audio file in AudioShare and then imported it into Cubasis 3 to build the track.
