Dreaded 48K issue š¤¦š»āāļø
So I have an Air 3 which as I understand is fixed at 48k when using GarageBand. When using BS-16i as a stand alone, I can go into the settings and change it to 48k from 44, but when used in GarageBand as an AUv3 it will not let me change it. Is there a remedy to make the AU correspond with the stand alone settings?

I donāt know but i have the same issue when sampling in EGpulse. Hopefully a fix for that is on the way.
The only fix I know right now is to use an external interface that will allow you to set the rate to 44. It is a hardware issue, so I donāt think there will be a fix per se.
So, is your problem actually with BS-16i not recognizing the system sample rate of 48 kHz when used as AUv3 in GarageBand? That may be a problem for the BS-16i developer.
Yes, thatās it!
I was hoping changing it in the standalone would cause the AU to update to that setting, but it didnāt workš¢
An AU should always run at the host app's sample rate....otherwise you will have pitch issues.
Why would you want the AU to run at 44.1 k if it is running inside a host that is running at 48k?
I donāt, itās stuck at 44, I want it to run at 48
Iād write to the developer and tell them that the plugin is not running at the host appās sample rate.
Does it compensate for the discrepancy ? It is technically possible for a plugin to run at a different sample rate and do the sample rate conversion to make sure the pitch is correct...(some AU always use the same sample rate and convert without the user know if because they do the fight thing)
Thanks, but right now I use Drambo for sampling. Yup i said the D-word š..

I saw this notice
the automatic settings for the auv3 are currently not working correctly For M1 macs but would also mean the auv3 wouldn't be picking up the sample rate from the host Either.
To keep your current settings, please proceed with the following steps.
Hope this helps
@Bassey
There is a new update 4.1.1 that may fix your problem.
If not drop a line to the dev.
Iāll give that a try!
