Anyone using QuNexus with iPad ?

Be interested in how it is with iPad and what apps you use it with for pressure/tilt etc

I have two qunexus for extended 4 octaves... I find the velocities and pressure uneven so I don´t use it for that duties. I use them mainly as an aux small keyboard for adding some sounds to my main keyboard or also when I`m playing or composing in bed!

I almost bought it, but I don’t have a QuNexus (I do have a K-Board), but it seems like it would make an interesting controller for the XY controls in Turnado.

Is the pressure smooth when going from light to hard pressure and back on one key after initial velocity or is that pressure 0-127 pretty jumpy and uneven in way it transitions

  • pressure is difficut to control, tilt is more smoooth. Velocity is all over the place!!

  • I find it works well on a variety of MPE synths. I agree that trying to achieve uniform velocity control over multiple keys is not so easy. The CV out works well on my CV hardware but if you don’t use this functionality, the less expensive K-Board at half the price would be the way to go it even has a configuration app whereas you’ll need to use a computer to configure the QuNexus.

My exact experience. I use my Sensel instead as the closest functional replacement. My Seaboard Block is a close second.

Might as well go for the k-board if u like the qunexus form factor.

  • I don't have a lot of the sensitivity problems that many seem to, but mine was one of the very first Qunexus. I also spent a lot of time setting up the device with their Editor too, that helped a lot to get it to respond the way I expected it to. I don't use the Qunexus much these days just because it's one more thing to carry, but I do think it's really a neat device overall well worth the price.

  • One thing to know is the Qunexus works with their midi box, and the K-Board doesn’t.
