Launchpad Pro on ipad can it trigger Atom and trigger samples in the same session?
I have a Lauchpad Pro which is gaining new love, I was almost about to sell since my iMac is dead. Linking it to the ipad it grows on me. I trigger sample sets on the ipad with Launchpad app. These sets are originally designed from my own samples in blokswave and then transported into Launchpad on the ipad. The question is does anyone know if I can use the Launchpad Pro with the ipad to trigger Atom and trigger samples on the Launchpad app in the same session?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately not, they're going to interfere with each other. Atom 2 plays nice and lets you enable or disable controller integration, but I can't find something similar in the Launchpad app.
If you have custom modes on your Launchpad (don’t know of older model have it) you could probably set a custom mode for use with atom and use session mode for the launchpad app. Not 100% sure if it really works and if that would suffice for your needs.
@blueveek is there a way to toggle Atom integration with sysex or midi? I have built my own launchpad integration for use with Mozaic. I'm interested in being able to switch between the two.
Not really experimented with Beatmaker and Launchpad. Does Beatmaker 2 have the same capability?
Cheers
It does have a custom mode but unsure how I program it. Might try @winconway suggestions as a way around.
Thanks for the sugestion
How good is Launchpad integration with BM3?.
I don’t own a Launchpad but it seems like it’s being widely supported and talked about. The thing is I still don’t get the “full picture”.
I see how it integrates with Atom2, it’s great. It also integrates well with LK. But it seems like it’s obviously one OR the other. What about audio, transport control and so on?. So my guess is that to have a “mostly hands-on controller” experience you’d need to set Launchpad to control a “host” that can do midi AND audio. Right?. Like AUM or BM3. I don’t get it.
If you want to have audio AND midi in a project and control it all from the Launchpad. Where do you go?.
I saw a good video on Atom SQ controller with BM3. It’d really like to try a good hardware controller - iOS music combo. Whatever controller and whatever daw works best. I’m jealous when I see the Maschine and Push or the Launchpad with Ableton. Isn’t there something remotely similar in iOS?.
I have a Launchpad Pro and used it with Live 9 but was not being used since my iMac died on me, but then I found I could use it with my ipad and so it got a new lease of life. The downside of an Launchpad is it has no knobs or sliders as such. Yes you can control volume but it is a bit hit and miss. Because of thT I bought a SL Mixface which does have sliders, knobs and buttons. My dilema is that in a live situation I dont want to be carrying a lot of gear due to the fact that I cannot walk far and my left hand sometimes locks up so less gear better. Just trying to find the best solution to launching audio and midi clip in the same session.
This goes in line with my comment. I’d like a solid workflow with hardware, but one that can sort of “do it all” be it audio or midi. Integration with Atom2 is superb, but what happens if you add audio to your project?. There’s no point in launching only half the clips...
You can use parameter mapping to control some of Atom's features such as launch/unlaunch, arming recording and so on. However the scripting capabilities in Atom are the only way to access the full shebang.
Check out what @tk32 did with audio: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/comment/928557/#Comment_928557.
All you need to do is use Atom as a bridge to your audio units that can launch audio clips. Drambo's sampler seems to work best.
