Does this seem right to you ? Elastic Drums
Been a while since I brought any apps , so thought I’d treat myself to Elastic Drums ...... the first problem is although the pattern length is set to 16 , it’s only playing 15 out of 16 steps ........plus it doesn’t sound right to me. All the drum sounds just sound the same and distorted. Is this right ? Using on iPad Air 3 with the latest iOS

It has to do with sampling frequency. The Air 3 is a 48k device I believe. If I restart my 2019 iPad (also 48k) and run ED I get this problem. If I export a loop it is 16k 16bit. If I start up AUM or AudioShare first set to 48k then start ED it works properly. There’s another thread about this and dev is aware. @elasticdrums
Thanks for the reply. Finally got it going in AUM , but requested a refund. None of the effects do anything , and the whole thing is just underwhelming. Surprised really as it seems to be so highly rated.
@loopingstarmusic how much time did you spend with it? the FX do a lot! you have to send each drum to the fx in order to get them to work
You need to spend some time with it. It’s crazy good once you get the hang of it.
OK, this is the weirdest review of Elastic Drums I have ever seen. Your experience was not normal @loopingstarmusic !
😁 Decided to give it a little more time , and pleased I did ! Sussed out how the FX work now , and had a blast just jamming away on it for an hour or 2 ......... it’s like a mad little techno box. I really need to be more patient when I buy apps.

The sampler IAP is an awesome addition. Along with the fx it is all I use.
Please cancel your request for a refund, so the developer is not stuck with the cost of your impatience!

We established the developers dont take a hit on refunds other than the app price i thought
i dont see how this is harsh at all. Its true. Loopingstar even said themselves that their impatience led to the refund request.
Fair enough. Truth can be harsh though. Try being honest all the time and see how it works out. But again, fair enough, they were their words and it's just one opinion against another.

Yes, this weirdly happens only at a few devices, but normally it should get fixed with restarting the app, and the most recent update, no?
