Auria 44k vs 48k confusion

I started my Auria project by importing an audio track to play against for structure. I didn't notice, but it switched to 44k sample rate. When creating a new project, Auria defaults to 48k. I've read a lot of threads about the difference between the two but I'm still not clear what the downsides of sticking to 44k are, now that I've recorded a few tracks at that sample rate in this project.

Should I start over at 48k, or try to convert my current tracks to 48k, or just continue on with 44k?

This will strictly be audio tracking, no midi, if that detail is important. The audio will be used in LumaFusion to create a multi-track instrumental video for youtube, facebook, etc.

You should create your projects at whatever sample rate you run your iPad at Newer iPads are stuck at 48k without an audio interface which is why RIM made 48k the default -- what it should really do (in my opinion) is set the default choice to what the current sample rate is. As it is now, if you have an iPad that typically runs at 44.1K, it is easy to accidentally create a project at the wrong sample rate.
