Hey, it’s Ben, and this is Drambo, by Beepstreet.

And now for something fun.

This started in Koala a while back. I was bored at work one night with only my phone, watching some of @bcrichards’ YouTube videos and decided to play around with the screen recording method of sampling.

Then, I thought, wait a minute. This is “Ben”! These samples need to be in Drambo!
And so here we are....

Once I got it going on my iPad, I realized it needed a little something more. I left the primitive parts in the first half, and poured on the magic music sauce on the 2nd half.

Consider this my tribute to the amazing and talented @bcrichards @giku_beepstreet and most of all DRAMBO!

  • haha awesome!

  • niiiiiiiice!

  • Hypnotic... if you slipped a ‘You are a chicken’ at the end I’d be in trouble. Hold on... I think Ben’s at the door with a Drambo.

  • This is beefsteak? I’m good with that. Good drummin’.

  • @Intrepolicious excellent work!! That was creative and fun. Nice use of drambo 👊🏻

  • Very cool :) I've also noticed the way Ben introduces his videos. It's so friendly and casual, yet distinctive. I get stoner vibes from it, which not an implication that he is, or isn't, or anything...
The trouble is after he hears this I doubt whether he'll ever be able to sound so unselfconscious ever again :)
Just the price of fame I guess...

  • Really great - Beepstreet should use this as promo.

  • ❤️❤️❤️ @Intrepolicious love this! Super fun and creative.

He’s welcome to it! I think I should polish it up some though.

    Thank you!

Thanks Ben! I’m glad you like it! 😌🙏

This is me trying to learn how to use the Flexi Samplers, and me practicing using audio samples in a project in general.

I will say, I had a lot more wild effects going on in the original Koala version. I had one “Ben” that spanned the length of like 2 bars (Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen) and all kinds of chopped up stutter effects etc, but when I exported in Koala, and then went to import everything in Drambo, I found only the initial samples from YT were exported.

I figure Drambo can surely do anything Koala can, but just a matter of learning how. For now, I’m happy to be launching these samples in time, where, and when I want them to.

Anyway, thank you for all of your fantastic tutorial videos on Drambo! I hope you never stop making them!
