Iv heard him before. I can tell by his scratches and mixer. Cant remember but it were just a short youtube video and where its just a body shot but for sure the same. The vibration things ( whatever they are called ) then the cuts. Hes good.
Before I saw Symatic doing it with Loopy we always used things like the RC20 loopstations for routines but LoopyHD is becoming the standard tool. It means a load that it runs on older devices. Things that support iOS 9.3 and up are literally saving things from landfill - not just devices themselves but all the 30-pin accessories too
I cant really scratch ( you would be like sit down pal ) But will maybe post a headache sound omni vid so you can see if its good but you have decks and a rane etc.
That's the man himself!
Yeah, please do post a video, mate - I'd love to see what you're up to with it!
Rad man. A semi photographic memory. Yeah his cuts stand out. So hes good. Will let you know how omni is. Shipping 22nd April. Not making a tonearm upgrade for my concorde scratch needle. Might just buy a VNL if hifi cart needs upgrade. Thanks.
Awesome! I'm massively intrigued. I had a modified PT-01 Touring that I use with the Photon Fader from Jesse Dean/Hard Rich/Thud Rumble. It's seriously impressive for the cost and footprint
This were my decision. Got a 1210 and a pnp2 fader. Would of had to buy a mixer but decided would redo wood stand so left of keyboard would come forward so not leaning forward or extending wood off the white unit for a 1210 and mixer. Will have to if omni isnt ideal. Probably will use nanokey as its spare. Either for cue points in djplayer pro bluetooth to iphone or keep it on ipad and use to loop into gauss whilst also bypassing inputs. So cue points from an iphone, then record in multi gauss also trigger bypasses. Not sure if it will work. Havent even checked if bypassing a volca drum had phasing. Could just end up with normal vinyl.
The faders would be near bottom of keys.
Ah, that's excellent - I was going to ask what DVS software you were using. I'm on DJ Player Pro, too. It's a bit of a mess of wires that I need to find a way to keep tidy but it's insane what you can do with phones and a portable belt drive turntable these days!
Cool mate. Will see how it is when arrives. Will let you know. Not buying a serato vinyl yet but obviously in Feng Shui mode.
If/when you do need them I grabbed my 7" control vinyl from Ritchie at turntabletrainingwax - they're perfect and cheaper than mostly everywhere else I've seen them too
Thanks. All vinyl is cheaper there. The looper thing. Volca drum sounds. Not so sure but will be scratching anyway
Thats what I were going to buy. Vol 8 glow in the dark maybe and maybe another for beats
Got my pt01 and practice yo cuts vinyl from Ritchie also. He was nice enough to put one of my beats on the portablist lounge looper. Tablebeats have some great loopers for cutting over
Facts. The only scratch records I have more of than Ritchie's are Sy's. His Cut & Paste Records are always insanely good.
Excellent! I got my Photon Fader from Ritchie, although they're long out of stock now. I created a couple of the old Christmas loopers for Ritchie. I ought to make more loopers, really.
Tablebeats is a goldmine!
Got a couple of Symatic vinyl. A few others from 2000 era. Hope dvs works. If not can I get a refund? Joking.
Ah, Mr. Brown and the mighty Lord Moschops!
Hey Pete. So I had a quick peek at your man's set. I'm not too familiar with the genre but cool to see Loopy getting used in another creative set.
I do have to say though that I was about to close the video but did a few skips and came across these guys that put a smile on my face.
Sorry for the slight hijack, but thanks for posting. This cheered me up (time 4:29:49)
not remotely a hijack @SpookyZoo - Mook and family always deserve more views! I absolutely loved their set. A definite highlight of a weekend filled with highlights
Yeah thanks for that link, watched through few of the acts and enjoyed them.
My pleasure, @muzka - glad you liked it!
That’s put a smile on my face now too, thank you.

I’ve been getting into scratching/mixing like crazy lately
Something I always wanted to peruse but went the beatmaking route instead at first
I spent a grip of money on a turntable DVS setup, and then one of my decks died on me, lol
I got the rane 70 mixer! Is super nice, but its HUGE.
Roc Raida was my favorite back in the day, I had some of his old tapes.
Oh, man, that Rane is a hardcore investment! I have a really limited amount of space for my gear so when I got my Grandmother and vintage Roland mixing desk I had no space for turntables or mixer. Well, turntable (singular) - I've not been bothered about mixing or juggling for years and years so I've been a one deck wonder for a long time.
My access to cutting these days is restricted to a PT-01 Touring that I had to modify, because the PT-01/Scratch had nowhere for me to put the fader (I'm a right hand on the record scratcher and everything seems to be set up the opposite way when it comes to portables!)
I still have my Vestax PDX up in the loft, though, and I'm starting to look at how I can get it set up again...
