Which daw for this type of workflow

I’m having trouble getting starting with cubasis so I’m beginning to wonder if t is the right daw fromor mme....I want a daw where I can import my drum looks and play different synths that I have already downloaded...so is cubasis the best daw with what I want to do or would go or NanoStudio be better? Just wanted to ask opinions for my type of workflow? I tried with cubasis where I spent over an hour with no progress so my question is is cubasis the daw for my desired or is there another where importing waves is easier

  • Beatmaker 3 is worth looking at.

I second this. Best daw for working with samples on iOS. You could always use koala for samples though.

  • No matter what DAW you choose, you should really spend more than an hour with it to decide if it’s right for you. Cubasis 3 has no issues with importing loops or using different synth plugins (AUv3 instruments is what I’m using, no experience with IAA). If you use the Apple Files app to place your loops in this folder: Cubasis 3 -> Audio -> My Samples ....your samples will show up in the Cubasis MediaBay for easy preview and import.

  • How would I go about getting my files into the files app from AudioShare?

If you open the Files app you should have a folder named “AudioShare Files”. Just copy and paste all the loops you want from that folder into the Cubasis path that I mentioned above.

You’re welcome! Something else I just realized is that you can import samples into Cubasis another way that may be even easier!

If you open the MediaBay within Cubasis and click on “Audio”, you can then click on “Import” at the bottom and it gives you the option to import samples directly from AudioShare. Worth a shot!

Edit: if you do it this way it looks like Cubasis will import your loops/samples into “My Audio Files” as opposed to “My Samples”. Not really a big deal though since they’re basically in the same file directory.
