Drambo: Chords + ARPS + Randomness
What started as an interesting read lead to a moment of insight and discovery. Someone wanted a Real Piano sound and @moodscaper provided some insight and examples of his solution. You can see original thread here:

This is one thing i really love about this forum...so many great thought starters and bits of inspiration shared by everyone.
Anyhoo, this is where i ended up after all was said and done:
You can find the original project file in the video description on YouTube.
As always thanks for watching 🙏🏼💕

Amazing. Feels to me like a felt piano (i'm no expert, mind that lol... might be totally unrelated), and I love it.
Alternating it's space with the samples makes for a lovely atmosphere
Many thanks. It’s the piano in MoodUnits which sounds great.
Thanks for giving it a listen. I was hoping all the elements would balance one another out.
Beautiful! Proof that amazing piano sounds actually exist outside of Ravenscroft.
I love it when you use those old audio recordings. Where do you get them from? I know that Library of Congress database has a ton of stuff. Anywhere else?
And isn’t working in Drambo just a pure joy?
I know I still have a lot to learn about it myself, about modular synthesis as a whole really, but it’s SO easy to get something going in Drambo with all of the low hanging fruit. I really want to learn more about some of these more advanced modules and how to use them. I mean, I haven’t even figured out how to use the A——B slider thing yet!
My “intermediate” synthesis knowledge only carries me so far in Drambo. When I look in the “Math” section of modules however, my thoughts of having an “intermediate” understanding of synthesis are quickly washed away and I’m left to realize that I only have a “basic” understanding of modular synthesis.
Slowly chipping away at that Drambo knowledge stone!
Cheers @echoopera this has always been something I wanted to accomplish. Haven’t tried it myself yet but seems pretty awesome. Thanks.
Yeah. I was pleasantly surprised by the MoodUnits offering. Good stuff.
This is Carl Jung. I just screen recorded a YouTube video and repurposed it.
Well yeah. It’s like instant magic flow state.
It took me a while to grasp that but I’ll post a video today with VoiceOver to get you going.
Yeah. Thank goodness for patches and racks to get the juices flowing.
The way i look at it, there is so much to learn with synthesis that it will be good to have something to grow into as i get older. 😉
That is the way to do all things in life. 👊🏼™️
Thanks. Be sure to grab the starter project and build upon it. Let me know if you have any questions.
I did. Thanks.
Very soothing with a touch of irascibility.
Have to keep that contrast going in the mix 😉 thanks for listening.

Look forward to it, thanks!
Sorry man. Day got away from me. Ended up on a Steam Train traveling through the Redwood forest near Santa Cruz today with the kids. May not get to this until Monday.
Note: i wanted my excuse to be a plausible one so that’s why i mentioned the redwood forest. 👊🏼™️
Nice, no worries! Capture any footage for new video effects on the trip?
I got some okay footage. I was really trying to be in the moment for the trip.
I did get this really good photo of my oldest trying to eat a French fry through his gater 🤪
Here’s another little workflow overview on the power of Step Components in Drambo:
