  • Finally you’re a purist, Wayne. Now you can only use apps with “Pure” in them. Which limits you to two. Good track. Hope the family’s good.

  • @LinearLineman Thanks man! Don’t know how “pure” I can keep it with a table full of hardware in front of me 🤣.
Things are going really well here currently, thanks for remembering.
If you’re ever in WV you’re always welcome.

  • Hi Wayne, nice sequence. Is it done with the Model 15 sequencer?

  • @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr Thank you. No, I used a Keystep to sequence. Have tons of iOS sequencers and don’t use them nearly as much as they deserve. I think it’s just that I know the Keystep, Beatstep Pro, and now the Keystep Pro so well that it’s really quick for me to get ideas going.

Great track!!! I can hear a bit of Klaus Schulze. I just bought a Beatstep Pro and I love to sequence now with direct access to the steps with knobs and buttons. But I wonder what is the best practice to organize or even archive your projects especially when you have more than one HW sequencer. Are you also adding sequences from the iPad and how would you store the projects?

  • @krassmann Thanks very much! Short answer is that I don’t save anything. Slightly longer answer, the final mix is the only document that I keep. I work mostly with modular and semi modular hardware. When cables are pulled the patch is gone. Same with sequences, they get overwritten for the next track after they’re recorded. Same with working with a DAW. When the final mix is rendered I delete the stems and raw recordings. For me, the process is transient. The released recording is the only document.
I certainly use iOS sequencers, but this track is a single sequence being sent to one instance of Continua and two instances of Model 15 from a Keystep. Different delay settings are adding interest and interplay to each voice... at least that’s my thinking.
