Jericho / Pure Piano, ID700
Inspired by current events.
I am happy to have Pure Piano in the quiver. ID700, BeatHawk Flutes, BASSalicious and Soft Drummer. 4 against 7.

Lovely playing @LinearLineman. Given how beautiful the piano and composition is I would have been happy with just piano and possibly bass, not sure the soft drummer added anything (for me!)
Lovely playing and I appreciate the rhythmic hijinks. You’re gonna make me buy that piano.
Beautiful.. soothing.. will love to have a ‘Blocs Wave pack’ with your signature to ‘infuse’... maybe 2-3..
Nice..
I'm not sure how you're scoring these drummers... this one was 0 for 1/2 of the tune for me.
Why let a drummer practice in your studio when recording? On the other 1/2 he was perfect... STFU Soft Drummer.
"I'm walkin' here."
Good composition LL! Great piano sound.
Agreeing with Tony and Mcd on the drums Mike, though I do understand why you wanted to put some drums there. Maybe they’re just not the right drums? I don’t know. Re-reading Mcd’s comment has me wanting to listen again.
I was going to suggest maybe trying the same jazz drummer but 1/2 the speed, but then I thought “why?” These compositions just flow out of you like water, so who cares! LOL leave it and move on to the next amazing piece!
Haha that would be awesome wouldn’t it... I (disclaimer) DO NOT purchase “loop packs” of other peoples music!
... but a @LinearLineman pack? Well that would be an instapurchase!
Excellent composition and playing. Beautiful
Ah, what a pleasure to debate music instead of murder. Thanks @waynerowand, @Frenq, @RajahP for the non critical appreciation of the “rhythmic hijinks”. You have broad... perhaps too broad... musical thresholds. 😳😉👍
To naysayers like the Notorious Mc D... drummers who cannot live in a non precise world... as well as @GeoTony and @Intrepolicious... I totally understand your criticism and you are probably correct, but please allow me to fill out the picture.
Charles Ives (and I realize I am no Ives) struck out against harmony over a century ago to the shock and disgust of his contemporaries. The poor (although he was rich) insurance salesman had to hire vaudeville orchestras to play his shifty stuff in an even shittier fashion (which probably delighted him).
I understand that this musical ground has been well trod and any new contributions are harshly scrutinized under the been there done that lens. Certainly, in that perspective, my rhythmic forays are despicable 😳👀😳👀🪳😎😉😘🙏
HOWMSOEVER.... after I improvised what is praised here as a lovely piece I could not let it rest. Especially with the feelings I had the past evening re Minneapolis. So I did the Ives thing. I wanted to tear apart the self satisfied and smug curvacity of what I had done... destined for the vault of obscurity named BandCamp... so I added the woebetide Soft Drummer... who I forced to bite in 7/4 my saccharine accomplishment to bits.... take that predictable loveliness and smash it to smithereens (wtf is a smithereen?).... so to speak.
In theory, I liked the idea of the 1 traveling around and every 28 beats realigning with the 4... only to break away again and go it’s own way. Seemed metaphorical to me of our human experience. Did it work... mmmm.... prolly not,. But Ives might have chuckled and suggested I try insurance.
... and Ed is right... in way too much of a hurry cheatin’ Death to look back. 😘
OK... you painted a masterpiece and then tagged it with a revolutionary slogan using day-go spray paint. Artists... what's wrong with pleasant, well crafted art. Everything must have a faint odor of urine.
Carry on.
We are debating murder... you murdered that piece with a robot drummer that has excellent
controls for sync'ing to a clock. You hate clocks. Ive's would have used clocks for his experiments. Everything was documented to the smallest details with a dash of absurdity
in the interest of theater.
@McD, eloquent but irrelevant... to an artist, that is. Oh to get my hands on a guitar smashed by The WHO.
Btw, what, @RajahP, is a BlocS Wave pack.? Could I actually get in one?
I've decided to boycott your next album... the one I suggested should be about Insect Sex.
That whole guitar smashing thing was anarchy... total turn off for me. There are starving children in China that needed those instruments.
More urine, IMHO. But the "Kids are all right." Pete Townsend understood his audience.
Man, if you’re gonna do Ives, go all out. Reharmonize in G and Ab,...simultaneously. I imagine that you’re familiar but just in case, “The Unanswered Question” is a great aural workout/primer.
Been there, bud...
@RajahP, thanks, and feel free to sample my stuff.
Indeed you have!
I wonder what their (ampify) criteria is for submitting and hosting the paid “packs” you see on their in-app storefront?
Lovely piano! @LinearLineman. I'm siding with the drumma hataz on this one though 😋
I think we should ask @AmpifyxNovation
Thanks for listening, @Gavinski ... ok, ok, I give up! 🏳️🏳️🏳️😉🙏😘
