Learning to play the keyboard

Hi there. It's been two months since I learned to play
keyboard. My family says I'm pretty good at it. But since I do not live alone, I study with headphones. Faced with the problem, not enough volume in the headphones. I am thinking about getting an amplifier for them. I'm on a tight budget. I was looking at something like this https://staccatomusic.org/headphone-amplifiers/best-headphone-amplifier-under-200/. Would an amplifier help me get more sound? I would love to hear your feedback.

  • For a tight budget, this would be quite an ambitious choice :)

If you say more about your existing setup (what hardware and software are you already using when you play the piano?) you may well get a few good tips from people here.

  • Agree with @ervin Please let us know more details about the equipment you are currently using in your setup. Keyboard, Headphones, Software etc. Someone here will then definitely have the answer for you.

E.g. I use a hardware Korg Krome 88 key Workstation for my piano playing when I’m not on the iPad. I plug a medium quality pair of Sennheiser headphones into the headphone jack on the Krome, and no problems with volume.

  • 250 OHM headphone could explain the low volume and need for a amp. Please tell us more about your equipment.
