HELP! Y axis setup with Moog synths and MPE controller (linnstrument)
Hi Everybody.
I have a linnstrument that i have been using as a regular non-mpe controller but would now really like to get into expressive playing and MPE control
I have an the Moog (model D and 15) apps and cant seem to get the mapping to work.
In Model 15 pressure (Z) seems to me to work with "aftertouch" and "velocity" in controller outputs
Pitch bends (X axis) controls bends/not slides
... and Y axis (CC74) does not seem to do anything.
From what i can read the moog programmer (Geert Bevin) recommends turning MPE on and not do midi mapping for MPE patches... so how would i be able to use both pressure and Y axis to control stuff?
(I have a similar issue in Model D that i cant figure out how to get CC74/Y axis to control filter cutoff)
Hope the bright minds in here can help
Best Johan

Hi
I think it’s the same as the mod wheel.
Try changing y axis in your Linnstrument to cc1 and see what happens. In Model 15 you could patch a cable from the modulation to pitch for instance.
I’m not close to my linn but I can try later.
Thanks for the offer, I posted as well on KVR, and Geert came to the rescue with a clear and concise explanation
(i think the issue of Y=CC1 is that it will not be polyphonic)
