Nope, that won’t make a difference.. the AU system isn’t that flexible
So it appears to be broken or maybe we're all missing something. Anyone contacted the dev?
I've found this, too. I've also found that every sound that comes with it sounds exactly the same - changing the sound seems to make no difference, unless I'm doing something wrong.
It seems that exactly one sound comes with it, which indeed sounds the same as itself, unless I'm doing something wrong.
(FWIW I also fell for the trick that you can scroll and select sounds that you don't actually have.)
Man, that has to be one impressive sound 🤣
👌
I am absolutely not interested in this app but the thread is hilarious
Same. I LOVE iSymphonic. I like Heavy Brass. Oriental Strings is cool. I respect the talent and vision of the dev. Super-high quality.
If this were a few years ago, I would have snapped this up and maxed out the IAPs. But, it’s a different ecosystem these days. “Completing” this app is $131.
Really? I just don’t get it.
Businesses that have cash cows cling to them... but time marches on.
Crudebytes apps are based on samples... but they download over hours and can consume
a massive amount of storage.
Modeled instruments are the future.
Sampled instruments are trending towards free with DecentSampler at PianoBook.uk.co and AudioLayer to "roll your own".
The sounds of this app remind me of another sample based synth product.... Syntronik.
Classic synths in a massive IAP scheme that drives the cost way up.
For sample-based collections Roli Noise gets my vote for the quality of sounds.
Hopefully, GeoShred keeps doing deals with others to enhance the sounds of that great controller. The SWAM deal was great but there's a lot of sounds that I'd like to hear coming out of that control surface directly.
I agree with everything you said.
@BCKeys Syntronik has great sounds. Have you watched a video? They are definitely not all the same.
Oh, sorry... 🤗
I guess it’s all subjective!
Syntronik also has a lot of possibilities to tweak the sound. I don’t have enough space for Xpad, what options for tweaking do you have there?
You get a long old parp for your money.
@cuscolima @Charlesalbert
Update is out, AU bug is fixed.
Thanks
Looks like filter, envelope and pan are all you can edit and it has some modulation but i haven’t really looked too see if that’s tweakable. If the au works id buy a couple packs but until then I’m out
I don’t understand why it’s over a gig for one sound tho LOL what am i missing here
No controls on the au 😒
Any exposed parameters in AUM?
There’s the possibility that it installs all sounds and IAP’s unlock them instantly rather than the isymphonic model where you wait and wait and then buyer’s remorse sets in and requests for refunds result. No vendor has slower downloads in my experience. Or higher priced IAP’s for the privilege. Can you sense my frustration . I have 22GB if Colossus piano data and it gets uninstalled a lot. I just keep it on my iPhone that has storage.
Nope.
No parameters exposed. I guess I’ll just add an au filters and a pan to the chain and just have to deal with the no envelope thing . I don’t know if I’m going to purchase any of the iaps tho so as it comes its not very useful, just one preset that you can’t really do anything with. I feel like it could have came with at least 10 presets to play with it see if it’s something we want . Since it is a pure preset machine and you can’t do any real sound design with it when you buy it I’m not sure i want to invest
This is the first time you lovely people have ever talked me out of buying an app.
Good question. This is probably a very long wav file or a few layers of wav files. Only the Dev knows.
All IAPs together clock in at 56 GB or thereabouts. So that can’t be it. I think that was the main cause for raised eyebrows when the app was announced.
Well, for the money and the space required I think it would be wise for them (or their proxies) to do a vid demo so we can be blown away by the sounds and therefore ignore worries as regards enormities of storage and relative investment etc etc.
