Would a lightning to micro usb work with my Korg nanokontrol 2?
Hello, I saw that on Amazon you can buy lightning to micro USB cables, would this work with my nanokontrol2? I have a camera connector, but this would be much neater!
Thanks!

It should work, but if it's from a third-party manufacturer - you never know, it may work only as a charging cable
I'd get an official Lightning to Micro USB Adapter from Apple
On second thought, I doubt that it will work with nanokontrol2. I think it's just for connecting your ios device to a computer. I'll ask google
hey, thanks! I thought it might just be for power... curses!
Well, most likely it won't work. Without a CCK, your ios device can't work as a usb host.
But some cables do work, the ones with a chip inside. My ex-colleague had a third-party cable and could connect his USB DAC without a CCK, but I don't remember which brand
No that won't work, there are very few devices that work in this way (MFi enabled) and they often have proprietary cables (like the Line 6 Sonic ports) or the older mini usb to lightning. Whichever, they have to be made to work that way, it's not just a case of patching USB cables to regular USB devices.
Also beware many of those Lightning to micro USB have a different shaped micro connector (the rectangular one), so even less compatible.
EDIT: for info, after many failed experiments, I found this 6" Meenova micro to lightning works with a an Artiphon One and a micro to mini adapter.

Ah thanks... I thought as much, I'll stick with the camera connector then, and neatness be damned!
Well, you can get a smaller adapter from Apple, if your keyboard does not require additional power and you don't mind spending another $30:

Thanks!!
These cck's have been recommended here before, I've got two of them. They work well with power and 2 usb inputs. A bit neater and a lot cheaper than the apple ones:

Looks very useful. I've been looking for something like this to connect 2 MIDI controllers without a hub
Is that lightning port only for external power?
Thanks very much!!!
