Ipad: Garageband + sonobus =?
Hi,
im new here in this forum and also new in the world of sonobus and digital musicmaking. So don
t be angry, if a ask stupid questions or don`t know all the usual terms, you all use.
Perhaps can someone help me with this:
I have an ipad (air) and use a StagePiano via Midi (Irig pro I/O) to play virtual IOS Instruments (Garageband and Ravenscroft 275). To hear the Sound, I grab it from the phone out on the Irig pro I/O. This works fine and I am happy with the small latency and the good quality.
Since one week I and two friends use sonobus to jam together. For this purpose I used the original Sound of my StagePiano via audio out and went into the Irig pro I/O and so in the ipad. It worked mostly fine.
Now I want the sound, generated from garageband or Ravenscroft, to use it in sonobus.
Is it possible to trigger garagband or virtual Instruments like Ravenscroft via midikeyboard and use the sound in sonobus on the same ipad?
I downloaded the app "audiobus", but it seems not to support sonobus, because it isn`t possible to choose it as an output. Can audiobus help me to cooperate between garageband and sonobus?
I would be happy for every idea,
thx fred astair.

Sonobus goes in the effects slot. Have not tried it with audiobus or garageband though.
It crashed a lot when I tried using SonoBus from within GarageBand.
I would recommend trying it yourself. Some people have reported having a good experience with Sonobus and Garageband.
