will this be an update or new app completely?
OMG. YES! Instant buy for me and with Yonac, I always buy all of the in-app purchase options immediately.
Now... about that Steel Guitar update...
This reminds me of Jumanji left dusty in the attic - time to release the elephants.
Well done Yonac at long last.
I sunk a lot of money in Tonestack back in the day. It did not age well. Hopefully Yonac will want to do something to keep or in fact get back their old customers, so I would expect a steep discount.
Because as it stands now, Nembrini and THU get my money due to just how good they sound and work.
That said, ToneStack Pro is going have to be _really _ good and have something that the others don't, for me to even be interested. Yawn. (buys another THU rig library that sounds awesome)
Nobody cares.
One of the myths becomes reality... YES! 😎
Ouch. I don't think he's too far off the mark here.
You don’t think Yonac knows what is the current state-of-the-art among their competitors? They always manage to do something interesting.
That anyone who may have spent some money years ago on an old thing should get a huge discount on a new thing?
+1
Great news if just for Echorex.
They’re seriously late to the AUv3 show.
ToneStack users begged for years for it and were ignored.
Others have filled the gap they left...
Yawn.
Yeah they’re about 3 years too late. Saturn 2 and countless auv3 reverbs/effects have filled their spot on my iPad long ago.
I don't believe users were ignored. I think it simply took a long time to rewrite the app. A developer not getting things done at our preferred pace is not the same as ignoring us.
None of us has any idea how much time this effort required or how much spare time the dev had to work on this. Not to mention that the dev may have had to figure out how to bring it up to current standards.
I agree. Having played a “small” part in app development for over a year (and regrettably having nothing to show for the wasted time) I have more appreciation for the effort involved. I tip my hat to the coders.
Well if Yonac were so interested in this project they wouldn’t have devoted so much attention to releasing all their other apps during this period of time...
It might be great, but they squandered a huge opportunity to corner the market.
I’m actually more interested in Amplitube’s coming update. They’re late to the AUv3 game as well, but they’re my favorite non-AUv3 offering right now.
While I don't agree with his POV on that point, I thought it was harsh to say "who cares" to what he says on a forum that is designed to foster different opinions and discussion. While I might not agree on that one point, I do care enough to read what he wrote. And I think his observation about Tonestack being a bit behind the times does seem right to me. Anyway, "who cares" seems harsh by AB Forum standards. Two cents and not a farthing more.
True @lukesleepwalker.
I think that perhaps set-off my negative Younac trajectory as well.
I’ve purchased the complete ToneStack packagesover the many years and have still yet to play all the amps they offer.
If this is an update of the original, they should have an upgrade path for longtime users like myself and others.
If it’s a completely new app with no discount, then it will be judged honestly against the existing competition with no bias for past offerings.
They had an upgrade path last time. Why wouldn’t they do that again?
Not for Galileo 2 and Magellan 2. So I'm not expecting it here.
They also referenced "New App". If that is to be taken literally, then a bundle is the only way the App Store provides for a discounted upgrade path.
We'll see.
Either way, with few exceptions I’ve instantly bought every app they’ve released.
Yeh, me too. There's will be a strong brand-loyalty factor on my part as well. But this time around I also have the extreme level of satisfaction with the Nembrini apps, and a bit of determination to not keep collecting amps beyond the couple that I've settled on as "all I need". As someone else has said, they're going to have to be in the same league as the rest of the recent offerings. If they are, then I'm sure loyalty will kick in on my part and overcome my weak self-control.
Haha. I hear you.
I love Nembrini and appreciate but haven’t purchased the Overloud gear, but most of the time lately I just plug and play the Haggis 20th Anniversary (driven by the ChowCentaur) and have been happy as a clam.

Presets are awesome compared to the competition and you’d have to work pretty hard to top the tone.
I saw the Yonac Tweet announcement a couple hours ago. Interested to see pricing, and how they set up IAP’s.
The first several weeks they announce is the best time to buy and to purchase their most extensive in-app purchase options. After the prices go up, they occasionally have sales in the future. I always go whole hog as soon as they make their apps available.
I've spent quite a bit on the motherhood. I'd hate to have to rebuy them all just for the AU.
Yea it’s def a new app. It said it in the tweet. Who knows about upgrades, and possible bundles though. Cubasis let you carry over IAPs from 2 to 3 so you never know...
My thoughts too. Could be that IAP's are shared. Could also be that it's not a 1-1 AUv3 port at all. We'll see.
I get the sentiment. Although I'm totally baffled with exactly what Tonestack stuff I own and what I don't. I thought I had all three tiers, but I guess not? It's a little annoying to see an amp or effect you want only to be told, Nah, you gotta pony up for that one.....
