The Death Of Socrates / More Puréed Piano
This is a good one one, I think. Worth a listen. And possibly a prelude to musicalizing the gods, or as @McD suggests, maybe philosophers.
I am growing fonder and fonder of the new PurePiano. Excellent dynamic range, expressive and a warm. honeyed, tone that can break out with some volcanics when necessary. The morph pad, for me, is pretty inconsequential... but the tone is rich.
PurePiano, BeatHawk Total Bass acoustic, iSEM for the synthetic moment, KORG Module Cello With Strings plus two tracks of Monumental Choirs and ISymphonic... legato strings and brass.

Socrates was a man. Do an album inspired by philosophers or political "movement" leaders.
Then you could include Hey-sus without taking a side since he was provably both of those.
You could also stir the pot by doing tributes to those killed by the state for their thoughts
or actions and include MLK. Then do a Quentin Tarantino alternate reality version where the mob found Mike Pense.
I haven't listened to the music yet but I see that there's no LumBeats included so I'm sure it's
safe.
So very, very nice! Best piano like composition i've listened to in a long time. My compliments LL!
Good indeed! Possibly the best recording I’ve heard that illuminates the character of Pure. Tone is solid and I agree that the addition of string resonance will give it the soul it lacks.
Thanks, @Frenq, for listening and validating what my ears were telling me. Very reassuring 🙏😘
Still have to listen - but what about adding something like the free CuSnP? Could add some resonance maybe?

LL, can't stop listening to this utterly beautiful track, it's becoming my favourite piece of the year, again love it!
Remark:
There are unfortunately as I hear it two piano glitches (two low notes without sustain, sounds no good to me); please could you repair this if possible, then this track is really top notch.
This IS a good one. That piano is beautiful. Love the different accompaniments throughout.
@Frenq, thanks, I think I know one spot you mean. I, strangely, improvised it that way, tho I agree. Itks abrupt. Midi editing won’t let me draw out the sustain if the release is abrupt, I believe. Just think of it like the one incorrect knot in every Persian carpet.
Thank you @mjcouche and @onkey. I appreciate the continued support and listening. It is heartening.
Great stuff @LinearLineman, powerful stuff. I also like reading the title of a thread and thinking ‘that’s gotta be Mike, the linearlineman...’ and sure enough, it’s you... thanks for posting it.
Thank you for listening @rud.

You’ve inspired me to keep up with the title creativity. Next title: “Upsetting Descartes” / I feel, therefore I am!
Great track @LinearLineman, perhaps a musical version of Pythons Bruce’s Philosophers Song is on the cards?
LL, i know what you mean, but i keep finding it a pity for such a great composition, it sure keeps bringing me out of my trance all the time i listen to it. It's happening at 1.23 and 4.00.
@Frenq, I must thank you for pushing me to correct those spots. It took a little figuring, but I learned a good technique to replace notes with new drawn in substitutes. Tell me what you think, please. I also took the opportunity to lower the volume when the iSEM ARP comes in at 00:37. Again, I very much appreciate that you coaxed me to get it right... and I learned. Thanks! (and feel free to suggest stuff anytime🙏)
Great stuff Mike. Love the emotion in the playing. Chord movement was really evocative
Thank you @ecamburn. The Pure Piano is very expressive, I think.
Nice one, LL!
This is my first time hearing this piano, which I’ve been hearing about but not yet had time to check out. So, does this take the top dog prize away from Ravenscroft for you now?
Methinks you're being too modest. Takes an expressive player to motivate a tool that allows wide expression.

@Lady_App_titude ... for the moment, I think it does. Very good dynamic range and fun to play. Maybe they all get tiring after a while. An acoustic instrument varies with the temp, humidity or placement. Not so an app.
Beautiful Mike!
Might have to check out this Pure Piano.
@Intrepolicious, where else can you buy inspiration for under 14 bucks?
Sublime! You've just sold another Pure Piano - you should be on commission.
@pbelgium, thanks. Now let’s see if @Paulo164’s challenge backs it up!
I hope you don’t mind my lo-fi-ing this Mike!
Well, I recognized it, so that’s good 😉😎😘
This one grabbed me @LinearLineman ! Very fine and evocative music. How did you go about this - inspiration-wise. Have you been reading Socrates, about the man, drawing on some vast memories of same? I'm curious how you arrived at the music from the man.
Well done sir!
Glad you liked it @kinkujin. The inspiration varies, with Socrates there is an undercurrent of loss, but also clarity. First came the improv then the association. Aquinas was easy... monster church organs. Maimonides, Moorish/mid eastern. Descartes, ordered, and now Hume, the Scot, with some bagpipes and a dollop of Indian texture and scales.
Beautiful! A superb performance.. 👏
Innit the shizzle!
Thanks for listening @royor. @Gavinski it’s init, innit?
