Too much fun with Holon.ist
As some of you may be aware, I have been experimenting with a new (new to me) app called Holon.ist.
This is a little like falling down a rabbit hole and one that opens the back of your head. An array of sensors, decting anything from speed, gyro, x y positions, heat, location, etc.. can all be mapped to Midi. Admitly I struggled at first, another app that I thought “You idoit and you thought you were clever. Though I must confess I was perpetually told I was stupid, being born in an age where dsylexics had a “Thick Table” (that is a table reserved for idiots). Intially I thought I’d climbed on board Boeing707 and stared in disbeleif at the cockpit. Thanks to its developer and a number of good souls on this forum the planes cockpit pannel gets smaller.
I belong to a disability group for people with a wide range of disabilities and believe an app like this used creativly could develop interaction and be an assest in any physical exercise.
I pop in a small example of holon.ist mapped to just 2 coordinates X and Y in Aparillo by Sugarbytes. Thes are mapped to the orbit tool in Aparillo and activated by a device called Movesense, an individual tiny sensor (the size of a chocolate coin and weighs about the same)
The example is not a track it is just to give you an idea of the possiblities.

Holon.ist work best inside of mirack. There are mirack available on Patchstorage.com. These patches are all configured to work with holon.ist.
If you are into dance and movement combined with music especialy live performance then this is ideal
Interesting, maybe it can work with MPE instruments also
Through one of the imprted patches from patchstorage.com it shows after touch controls in midi monitor
