    Eeeeemmmmmm-mmm-mmmmm-oooooo-OOOO-ooo CccccHhhhhhoooooRuuus.....

  • Hopefully I can resurrect this thread. Never realized how great Virsyn apps are til recently and the feedback here is so valuable.

  • Addstation is great. Tera was my first one, but I never really clicked with it. The tap delay is good, too, but Icegear's recent one replaced it for me.

AddStation is the first one I've used and is the one that made me realize just how great VirSyn apps could be!

  • You forgot the option "all of the above"!

Seriously though, Poseidon is pretty bloody good.

  • Something's wrong with the poll, you can't select Cube Synth...

    That's a good option

Audiolayer most used, I wish it exposed parameters. 😢 Tap Delay and Barkfilter are two favorite fx by Virsyn, needs to use others more, especially Addstation. Have them all, lol.

  • ReSlice! Been using it a lot more once I learned that I can in the Files.app 'copy' a file and paste it into AUv3 instance of ReSlice...

  • The only thing they ever did i liked was Tap Delay. Unfortunately i kept falling into the accumulator’s trap and bought them all.

I wish they would release an "all" bundle.

Same for me. AddStation is incredible.
I bought also Poseidon but haven’t assessed it yet, having resold my iPad mini and still waiting to buy the new Pro.

  • With all the VirSyn stuff on sale, I'm wondering which of the synths is more suited to a beginner. Any opinions?

CubeSynthPro is great. As is Tera. But I'm a preset guy.

  • AddStation is great. It can be very straightforward if you wish : you draw with your finger and you listen !
It's the last VirSyn's synth, so very powerful. Then you have CubeSynth Pro which has been lastly updated with MPE support and which is highly praised (and don't have it personnaly but I am hesitating with the current sale).

  • Poseidon sounds huge!

AddStation. And it has the added benefit of the iOS version working on desktop also for M1 computers.

    @AlexY
Virsyn stuff has a flavor of its own. I started on Cube, and haven’t stopped. But the most distinctive, really outrageous starter synth, and also easiest on cpu, is microTERA.

Face melt digitalness, but incredibly versatile. And strange. But don’t let me deter you: buy everything.

  • I really like Addictive / Addictive Pro. Great sounds and easy to edit to make your own sounds, a lot of it is drawing on screen which is fun. But then I have a soft spot for many of Virsyn’s wonderful range of apps.

  • You forgot Cube Synth

  • I can't be the only on who would have chosen "None of the above."

These apps leave me completely cold, every single one of them. I know that I'm surely missing something, but I would love to learn why people like them so much. Or maybe I could see a list of the Virsyn fans' favorite artist of the past 30 years? (Like, I can't stand Prodigy, and still I bought Poison 202. Which I recognize is a brilliant app — which I can't stand and never use.)

  • I like their early ones. Got a ton of them, but really only still use Tera, Addictive, and Audio Reverb. The later ones have limited amusement for me and seem a little lo-fi and toy-like.

Love the Poison-202 synth. Only wish the developer was able to bring it to M1 computers (and yes, I’m aware they’re not able to do this at this time).

  • Tera pro and Poseidon

All the rest are blah to me

  • Obviously this poll is lacking Tera Pro, which wasn't released then, and is likely the Virsyn synth most ppl are using most today, I reckon. I wonder how xinematix would poll? 🤔

Cube synth pro and Addstation. From when last used.

Not sure but think I find Additive and fm better than subtractive and wavetable. Wavetable not much experience though and find subtractive for warm, not much modulation VA, Ok/the choice.

What’s the big difference between Addstation and Cube? I have Addstation and it’s great but I wonder how much it overlaps with Cube since they’re both additive?
