It has a virtual qwerty keyboard.
I really want to get Sunvox but I was kinda disappointed by the Android version which makes me wary of the ios one.
If you want to try Virtual ANS first.....the pc version is free;

This developer's apps are cool. SunVox is so freaking deep and powerful - I would love to use it more but for my lack of time and the fact that it's a nightmare to navigate on iPhone and only marginally better on iPad. The interface is really one giant screen where you drag and resize things around - makes sense given the PC origins of this app. On iPad, it would probably be better served by delegating the tracker, modules, etc. to different pages with tabs on the screen to navigate. But maybe it's just me.
I never considered that separate pages idea..brilliant.
These apps are on sale again. Just picked up Virtual ANS.
It's mentul...
So did I, I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm going to have fun figuring it out.
To YouTube ...
Indeed. I'm leaving Sunvox for the big screen PC but Virtual ANS is fun on iOS. Mess with the presets as well. My ferry ride home just flew by.
You can draw/play in patterns in Virtual ANS using a keyboard too. Here's a video if you haven't seen it yet.
Neat! Glad I just mashed the Buy button now, exactly the kind of creative weirdness I like.
Just waiting for my replacement USB adapter now ... Note to self: Never buy cheap knock-offs again.
Thanks for the vid @OmnilimbO caused me to hit the buy button. Seems a bit samey until you suss the drawing tools. Only had a quick play but I can see this becoming a go to noise maker.
Color my confused but he hasn't commented since 2014
But what a comment!
Not to be cliche' but it takes time to understand and feel your way around with this.
Much like TC-11 or Beebot.
I have learned in the last several years to step away to some degree from the notation and music traditions of the past.
With the microtonal and other cutting edge concepts I only can say to try it and approach it from a non informed place.
Suspend disbelief and just try and make it sound cool. You may be shocked.........................
Virtual ANS is on sale for the first time since 2017: https://itunes.apple.com/app/virtual-ans/id711384847
And Apple Files app integration may come (for easier importing/exporting photos and audio): http://www.warmplace.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4786
Re-synthesis via additive synthesis looks interesting (import JPEG, WAV...).
It's been on my wishlist for years, and looks fun with Synthscaper and SpaceCraft for ambient and alien soundscapes.
