Hmmm. This looks like it needs a lot, to be honest.

  • Is it any good?

  • Curious. At this point it is hard for me to imagine anything being able to hold a candle to Atom 2

  • Anything that uses the word “beats” I won’t take seriously

  • This looks like something that could soon show up in Drambo

    Big facts my guy.
I use helium tbh, the way Paul is always consistent with updates, changes with every app he produces is what sold it for me. I see your point.

  • Hope this gets updated to Auv3

It crackles on my iPhone 8. A bit heavy on cpu.

Great potential if tightened up and improve

Fair point. :) In many cases,
    "I make a beat" = "I can't play any instrument"

  • Seems like it is for those who are just starting out to make music on their phones. Probably good app for em looks simple and strait forward

Don’t worry I have a special hi-hat triplets ringtone set to remind me

I make beats from samples I chop out of riffs and motifs that I’ve played on instruments

  • So hold on is this an Au host? With 2 Au apps included? Or is the sequencer an AU app as well.

This is usually true. Funny you should mention that.

Which makes you one of the few cases. :)

  • Also did you guys notice how people who "make beats" often refer to themselves as "producers"?

Which, in fairness, is certainly true at least in a technical sense. Boy, do some of them produce.

  • Why do you care?

    It’s not available as a midi Auv3.
It can host Auv3 in the standalone version.
I bought and deleted it immediately

If this was for me: because I find it very interesting how people use existing words and give them new meanings as we try to describe the new world of music and "musicianship" in the iOS context. And some of these attempts end up being accidentally funny imho. 🤷

  • I don’t get why people are condescending towards those who don’t play instruments like that’s the only way to be a serious musician. As with anything else, Beatmaking is just as serious if taken seriously. Sometimes I play instruments. Sometimes I just make beats. None of us have the right to play gatekeeper.

Not being able to play an instrument does not equal inability to make good music!

  • A lot of guys who can play an instrument well, can’t program or sequence a track for the life of them.

And A lot of engineers or technical guys are not musicians in the traditional sense.

I think if anything a lot of people throw around the”producer” term too lightly

Beatmaker fanboyz better not come brigade this thread, lol.
