AUM/Drambo/Atom2: Change incoming MIDI Channel using hardware controller

Hi

Using Atom2 in Drambo in AUM for MIDI loop recording:

Can you change the MIDI IN channel of a connected MIDI keyboard (KMI k-board) with a connected MIDI controller (launchpad mini mk2 or other, so either MIDI note or MIDI cc), so you simply press the hardware button to select the channel/connected synth you record?

Thanks and best greetings!

Christian

How many channels do you want to select? If you're toggling between 2 channels, it would make sense to use a button. But if you're selecting from 16 channels, maybe selecting with a slider would be better? (unless you have 16 buttons, 1 for each channel?)

edit: or if you are using notes to select the channels, what note range would you prefer?

I'm working on a midi rack right now for you.

Mozaic script that translates the Midi channel information to the value that is defined by a UI element in Mozaic.

Hey man, made a rack for you. By default it is listening on channel 1 to select your controllers output to be from channels 1-16 with the notes C5-D#6.
The input channel (used to select the output channel #) can be freely assigned.
And the note range (which corresponds to 1-16) can also be changed.

If you want to change manually using the rack interface instead of notes from your controller, let me know too.

  • That's great, thanks so much!!!

  • nice interface. handy.
