Ableton Live Lite. Is there a limit to how many clips you can have per scene?
The free version you get with several apps etc. I know you can only have eight Scenes. Is there a limit to the amount of clips you can load in each of these Scenes?

Not sure as I’ve always used the full version, but there is definitely a version comparison chart somewhere on their website.

Yes, the maximum track count.
Lite only has 8 tracks, Intro has 16.
Thanks everyone. The chart only shows Intro, but not Lite though.
I’m getting a bit confused. The ‘Scene’ is a track - and that contains audio clips/midi is that right?
So the part I’ve highlighted- you only get eight clips deep under each Scene (I assume per Scene)
You get eight Scenes and eight midi/audio clips for each of these Scenes. Correcto?
No, Scenes are a horizontal row of clips. You can launch all of them at once by clicking the play button for that Scene in the master track on the right hand side.
I have Live lite, it’s limited to 8 tracks and 8 scenes.
Great thanks very much everyone. I’ve been missing LP-5 since it was removed from the AppStore. It had up to 40 clips to alternate with per column.
