Circuit Bent Kids Alphabet Toy
heyooo. just sharing a quick run through of one of my many circuit bent toys..
This one has wide pitch bend knob + fine tune knob, as well as LFO on switch, LFO rate + indicator LED, and LFO shape switch (square + sine) , as well as an 1/8th inch output.
I intend to record better quality demo's of all my instruments through my interface, but heres a video for now.
If anyone has any questions or interest in circuit bending, please dont hesitate to ask! ive bent at least 100 different toys and keyboards, and have recently started designing my own synth, delay, and filter circuits from scratch.

That’s ace, I’ve been hovering near circuit bending for years, then this years lockdown in the UK just pushed me over that edge. In late January, I opened up a toy keyboard and changed the caps and messed about a bit, then made a ‘bass drive’ from an old hard disk. Now I’m up to my eyes in breadboards, valves, and low voltage possibilities - after two weeks of messing about, I finally got a version of the ‘Mean sucker filter’ going with a different kind of tube than the one specified, and once I’ve got that into a circuit diagram, I’m going to try and replace the annoying stage with the triode of a dual pentode/triode, then maybe double it up 😁
I’d love to see more of what you’re up to, I’ll check your YouTube in a mo...
Hey mate, fellow bender here. Just done the classics so far sk-5 speak and spell. etc I have the OM synth breadboard prototyping thing from bastle and I am also goin through reed ghazalas book. I love this hobby and its just plain fun ! Cheers and Id love to see tips or tricks and am always down to share.
Side note: dr.OM and Bent FM are iPad circuit bent apps. There are more. HaIls!~
oo that book looks interesting, this hobby is even more addictive than ios apps I think, I've just got a little electronic kit for kids that includes a shortwave radio build that I'm looking for to making as well, random sounds ftw!
I'm just trying to find some software to draw out the circuits with that has valves / tubes as components but finding it hard to find one that does it nicely, if anyone has any clues let me know
Noisemusick is lurking in this area, too.
Tip: on later iOS versions dr.OM and Noisemusick seem to get confused about display orientation unless you initially open them while in portrait mode. After which they react properly.
