Does AB let me select a USB input?
From the manual it looks like NO:
"Only the first audio input and audio output will be used by Audiobus at this time. "
I'm using the Korg iM1 iOS app which doesn't allow me to select the USB input I want - it also defaults to the first available USB input.
My USB interface has 4 stereo ins and I want to be able to select where my iM1 audio output goes.
Comments
I think this is an iOS limitation, there are no options to choose between several connected audio sources/destinations and it’s super annoying
You can select any input/output of your audio interface.
The limitation that @mangecoeur mentions only applies when you have several USB audio interfaces attached. iOS can only use one connected piece of audio hardware at a time.
Thanks guys. The Pure Synth app allows my to choose a USB input for its audio output, but the iM1 app doesn't have an audio output option, so I was wondering if AudioBus would offer that to me.
I have a single USB interface with 4 x stereo ins and 4 x stereo outs.
The Audiobus limitation you quote relates only to multi-input/output AUv3 modules. If you check the section on hardware audio inputs/outputs, it describes how to select different inputs/outputs.
Thanks uncledave - I found something under "Audio Hardware" that looks like this should work - I'll take a chance and buy AB :-)
