no - but did this happen to you? that's gotta hurt!
Hope you knew about their AppleCare+ program before it happened. Replacing a screen on the iPad Pro 12.9” is quite costly without AppleCare+.

You have my sympathy. I looked around for a while, really only apple will do and its £500 plus. Does the screen still function? I added a screen protector to seal it and it has maintained function despite the cracks getting worse over the 8 months since it happened. Some advocate cutting your loss and selling as is.
Yeah, black screen of death and no AppleCare this time around.
I was seeing similar prices of at least £500 for screen replacement. Thing is, there is a slight kink in the body too which I think compromises a full screen repair,
Maybe I should update my question with "...anyone have experience of selling a dud iPad Pro for a few quid?"
I only had one screen crack and it’s just a tiny crack on the actual glass below my screen protector, though it makes trade in of my iPad Air 2 impossible other than through as-is but currently functional on eBay. It was my own fault of course. I had jammed it into a backpack and did some mountain hiking. The case was pretty good, except on the corners where there was really no pressure resistance.
I’d be pretty sad if my 12.9” Pro screen cracked and stopped becoming responsive. Good luck.
