Video Games + Synth = SYNTHPACE

I may consider buying a VR kit for this game (and The Room VR).

Not sure if it's good or not, but I'm curious.

  • This will be for sure a lot of fun. Which VR headset are you considering?

I have no idea, I know nothing about VR headset. If you have a piece of advice for me...

  • There's also SynthVR. Both of them are fun although they could do with a wider variery of modules. Perhaps those will be added further along the timeline by the developers of both apps.
I have them as well as some other vr instruments like EXA or SoundStage and used them on my Rift CV1 with touch controllers. Really great fun and time just flies by when you tweak the modules with your goggles on though I wish I used them more often and gave them some more of my time.
Anyway I could easily recommend them all as it's an experience one of a kind.

  • As for the headset I'd go with that Oculus Quest 2. The price of this thing is unbeatable as well as it's ever growing functionality (you can do PC VR on it as well from what I've seen and it's supposedly working great) is a thing to consider. The only problem one might have with it that I can think of is that you must connect it with your facebook account.

BTW I'm really curious how that Korg Gadget VR will turn out :)

  • This is nutter butter and, I cant beleive this kind of thing is starting to become real and feasible? I cant afford a VR rig but if they can get a lab of sonic toys that feels real it would be super fun I think. I wonder if you get dizzy or brain zonked you know> Cheers.=!

  • I also heartily recommend a quest 2.

Dizziness in VR occurs mostly with apps requiring motion. You move in VR but in psychical world you are stationary, so brain doesn't know what is going on.

No idea which headset is the best but it's great that there are at least 4 choices for this app on Steam

I don't think Korg cares about that lol. It seemed like a tech demo they threw out for fun.

It is listed on the future products page and this stuff is a lot of work and money. They probably do intend to make a return on their investment…
