Modulating per-one swing timing by finger pressure or other MPE gesture is awesome.

of course that is only **one ** example of the potential of this feature.

  • A really stunning piece of hardware.

  • I like the wall in the background.

  • Very Nils Frahm sounding demo at the beginning. Liking this idea... idea for an MPE based iPad app with arp function?

  • The Osmose really does look incredibly expressive. If I had the money I'd love to combine this with the UDO Super 6. The expressive polyphonic synth capability would be nuts.

A friend of mine has the Super 6 and is awaiting delivery of the Osmose. I'm going to wait for a year or so before I buy one. If it's robust enough, if there haven't been a wave of complaints about it falling apart then I'll be a customer.

I'm really interested to hear how the two go together. The Super 6 was supposed to have been designed with MPE in mind and it sounds so good to me in general. The Osmose is really intriguing and I nearly put in an order when it was first announced. The price is a bit high to justify it given my lack of skill as a keyboard player, so I didn't make up my mind before they sold out of all the preorders they were taking. Now, I'm waiting to see how it does and hoping that it takes off really well.

Yeah I hope so too. It looks very promising. There are a lot of MPE fans out there.

  • Osmose started shipping recently, and some customers have put up demo videos.

No doubt @LinearLineman would kick ass on one of these

  • @GovernorSilver any idea when you’ll get yours?

Look forward to that! It was quite a wait. Happy New Year, bro.

It'll be interesting to hear when soundtrack artists start to use this. We may not even be able to tell initially.

Thank you sir. Happy New Year to you too!

My Osmose preorder inspired me to practice my keyboard playing more regularly.

Lots of new Osmose videos now. Cuckoo's is one of the best. He explains some of the playing techniques, and provides relatable musical examples. Oh and I got a notice that mine will ship in Feb.

So cool to see one of my all time favorite C64 composers do a demo on the Osmose :sunglasses:
(He created the soundtrack for Last Ninja III and Flimbo's Quest to name a few).
    https://www.youtube.com/@REYNmusician/about (Bio)

He used to do 'Sunday Service' from the church he lives in and play C64 tunes many, many years ago...
