Kong gadget 2 freezing.
I’ll be playing some loops I made back, and the whole app freezes. When I launch a loop it doesn’t play. I restart the app and SOMETIMES this helps for a couple of minutes but then it freezes again. Is this common? Is there a workaround? It’s ruining what is otherwise an amazing app. Extremely frustrating.

I don’t recognize this, Gadget is pretty stable for me.
Does this happen with only one of your projects or others too? Perhaps it includes something that makes it freeze (a sample or whatever) .
Could also try: Main settings > Gadget 2 > Utility (at the bottom) > Reset current work.
Strange. I never had Gadget freeze, only crash if memory isn't cleared up by iOS fast enough. An old iOS problem.
Which version of iOS are you running? I’ve been getting this since 14.5 & 14.6. Turning off microphone access for Gadget in the system settings has worked for me.
This is a good shout. I noticed that before any crash my microphone icon flashes. Thanks, hopefully this works. I’m running the latest version iOS on a 2020 iPad.
For what it’s worth, I’m on 14.6 too with microphone access on but haven’t seen this (yet).
I’m only seeing it on my 8th gen iPad but it’s messing up quite a few audio apps that access the microphone. Even voice memos is flakey. My 2017 Pro is fine though.
Just for any future Google’s, turning off my IPad microphone instantly fixed the issue. Phew!
