  • A very interesting track, LL! Almost like techno prog rock.

  • Definitely has some Prog in there. Don’t know why exactly but I think of Marillion in a way. Maybe “Garden Party” or something else from Script for a Jester’s Tear. Well it’s got a playful thing about it too, just like Casper. 👻

The amazing thing about your musical creations is I never know what’s about to happen when I hit play for the first time. It’s always an interesting and unique outcome.

  • In a blind test I would not have picked as being a @Linearlineman joint. We're you playing with another arp to make those surprising meter changes that are so typical of late prog
rock? I could imagine Gentle Giant doing this with voices and their creative instrumentalists
that had the patience and the skill to memorize long sequences of unexpected combinations
that rarely seemed to repeat but just roll forward like a musical kaleidoscope.

  • Thanks @NeuM. Actually, I don’t even know what techno program rock is. But glad I can live there.
@Spidericemidas, thanks for the analysis. That’s exactly what I hope to be ... varied and unexpected.

@McD. I played this without a click track, then quantized to 1/8, I think. Hammerhead was in line, so that was interesting. The change in meters was from my playing, I imagine.

  • Great track - this has an ELP/Copland vibe to me. Love it when Hammerhead kicks in (oh no! I sense another unnecessary purchase coming soon)!

  • @pbelgium, thanks. I was iffy about my use of Hammerhead, but it plugs nicely into a midi track, has a bunch of presets and offers way more capability than I will ever use.

I’m finding KASPAR to be an amazing piece of software that is very easy to adjust. Make sure you get that, too!

  • Cools sounds! I almost got a Daft Punk in Tron Legacy vibe in there sometimes…

  • Thanks for listening @McM. I guess I’m influenced by lots of genres I can’t even name!
