Good resource for multitrack stems?
Anyone know of a good resource for multitrack stems of song? I’m studying song composition and how to break them down.....by completely destroying my favorites when possible, and studying weird backing tracks
I already know about all the NIN multitrack stuff that reznor put out there (that my iPad can stand to download lol), and I have all of health, and some lady Gaga and some others.
Just looking to mess around, I am not looking for a discussion about rights or whatever. Besides, I know that (if, lol) I could make the best remix in the world it would still go unnoticed and I certainly wouldn’t be able to profit from it even if I wanted to. This is strictly academic 🥰

I don't know if I understood exactly what do you want to do, but maybe this? it can isolate instruments/voice of a track

In terms of rights if you do a remix of someone’s song it’s still technically their song, but if someone remixes your track it’s still technically your track. Which can be a bit odd, but I recently heard a famous producer describe this scenario in a video on YouTube.
Their is 484 songs to pick from on this site.

Not original, but a huge resource of multitrack songs: https://www.karaoke-version.com/ if you don't mind spending a bit of money.
Have you gone through the book?
Not that one but it is another mixing book that sent me there.
Here's one that is free and works well.

Since you said Lady Gaga, here's the direct link...

You can also use apps like Let's Unmix to extract stems from audio.
Be aware of the DMCA and other legal rules for using files like these.
Was that Guy from Disclosure? Think I saw the same thing on Sol’s Stream
True. That’s the thing with sites like this. You’ll never know when they’ll be closed down. But they’re a wealth of information for those trying to learn what mainstream artists are doing.
A lot of the Gaga tracks on that site were widely leaked and I guess they just kinda leave them out there haha. . I'm mostly talking about the Gaga leaked stems that have been out for a while. It's annoying cuz all the sites I found are missing the same songs (and they happen to be the ones I'm after, go figure right?!
They just demonetize you or remove your vid.. I don't even want to post what I'm making for the most part anyways. Def not posting to spotify either 😆😆
Also, extracting parts is a pain, especially on iOS. I'd like to avoid it if possible. There's nothing quite like mangling the living hell out of a nice and clean hihat or snare track 🤓
Plus with all the time you can spend messing around with the tracks I really don't feel like spending more time extracting parts. It gives me a headache 🥴 plus there are transients that always bleed through and I can hear them. Its weird. but if I absolutely have to I'd do it haha
Splice.com is a good resource for legal loops, including packs that I would consider multitrack stems. Bigfishaudio is similar and has construction kits like this: https://www.bigfishaudio.com/detail.html?538681.
I apologize if that isn't what you had in mind.
