Great features. Thanks for keep us informed.

  • Looking nice! I might check the 'ask me anything' tomorrow for some Tabletop info.

  • Between this and the upcoming Beatmaker II upgrade, things are going to be really interesting for awhile.

  • Hi guys, I mentioned that I was doing an AMA on a previous discussion about iMPC Pro.

    Discussion is going on now...
    http://www.reddit.com/r/ipadmusic/comments/25h8zu/im_dan_walton_cofounder_and_software_engineer_for/

I'll try to field questions about iMPC Pro.

  • @danwalton asked a good question in a response on the AMA to a 'will you add Audiobus?' question. Thought I'd plop it in here so AB users can give some feedback.

The current build doesn't have AudioBus, however we are supporting IAA in a few creative ways including node. You should be able to try iMPC Pro directly into Cubase and GarageBand etc.

What Audiobus work flows are you most interested in? What other apps would you use along side iMPC Pro?

  • For myself, there are a few workflows I'd like to use that AB supports well.

    1. Sampling into iMPC Pro from other apps synths.
    2. Saving entire app setups that include iMPC Pro. Perhaps with other synth apps and effects.
    3. Multiout iMPC Pro so that I can have different effect chains via AB. I realize this isn't as simple as including the AB SDK but if the iMPC Pro app had a mixer with sends or busses...
  • Well, I won't be able to use it for live performance. Probably won't buy it, since I know I can only use it for recording.

    That would be awesome.

  • Did you guys notice that Dan hinted about an upcoming app and gave a link to their webpage and it showed that they are building another Aurturia synth? Sounds pretty cool!

  • That is pretty cool news indeed. I hope it's the ARP 2600. But I'll be happy with any of those V collection synths. Or all of them.

No audiobus is hardly a revelation given their track record to date. That is to bad as this could have possibly been useful for my work flow which always includes audiobus. Oh well perhaps in a future update I may find this app useful but the prospects just went downhill. On the plus side I can save my money for something I will use/

  • @tritonman2 why not describe that workflow?

  • I think their waiting on Audiobus supporting IAA.

  • @Jumpercollins, which is not far :D

  • Very curious about the new Arturia synth cookin' up! (c'mon ARP-clone!)

  • My workflow varies indeed but always with audiobus for its simplicity and I stay in that realm to make things much less complicated. Nothing leads me to believe that this is going to get audiobus. Time will tell but I have heard such rumors about impc and they have yet to pan out. I would happily be proven wrong in the future so I could find a good use for impc pro.

Are you beta testing or something? How do you know? :-)

Me too. I downloaded iSEM on my iPad2 and couldn't believe how good it was. Takes like 35 seconds to boot up but everything after that are some of the best sounds in iOS synths.

  • Agreed! :-)

Slow start up time but well worth the wait I agree.

  • reading thru the AMA on Reddit, it seems as though Akai is determined to not be on the bus with the iMPCPro.

    ...so come on Intua!!

Me too! (About iSEM, that is)
Hoping next up is the CS-80....

  • The clash of the beat titans

Actually I change my hope for an ARP clone to this!

Yeah. I did beta testing for v2. But can't say more. Don't want to piss off anyone.

But, if IAA will come to Audiobus, then F**K YEAH! That would open more possibilities.

  • @alexbuga

Can you say something about Song Mode?

Do you have an MPC Element??

Do you can pre listen samples chopped on pads???

    sorry for my curiosity :)

  • Sorry to be "that guy", but did anyone ask about either ETA for submission to Apple, or a ballpark estimate of what this app will cost?

Didn't they say "before summer"? I'd say by the next month, June, we already have summer, ;)

*dont quote me on that tho. I'm totally senile.

  • Yeah, within a month sounds about right... 1) it would be a waste of momentum to have all these teasers and AMA's if actual release wasn't close at hand, and 2) summer begins June 21st. :) Weee
