New larger iPads coming from Apple !!!!

edited June 2021 in Other

Can’t see this happening. Not sure I want something that big. I’ve never gone above the standard 9.7 inch yet. Would like to try the 12.9 model one day.

Comments

  • I've been waiting years for this

  • When they’re finally here there will be no ports, submersible down to 100m and everything wireless with breath unlock as standard.

  • I might actually have to invest in one of these larger iPads if said iPad is 12.9" or greater. My 2017 iPad Pro 12.9" is getting a little bit long in the tooth. (I use it for sheet music.)

  • I can see this happening. Even 12.9 is too small for most pro apps. But ios needs to mature a bit first.

  • There’s already a 24” iPad on the market. It’s called iMac…. It’s only missing a battery. All other internals are exactly the same as the new M1 iPads.

Pencil support? Detachable keyboard? If so that would be sweet.

  • With advanced, stereo crackle built straight into ios, now called a feature. Zero ports (Tim Apple: "Our users don't want ports, they want crackle. So we give them the best crackle in history.") Zero claimed latency, dial-in-level real latency. Sponsored YouTube videos by influencers discussing the benefits of compensation by ear. "The new way to make music". Price starts at 3K USD for the 256 terabyte version. Widgets will almost work, 5-6 years more to go until reaching the level of widgets in Android 6.

But there will still be no viable alternative.

Eh, I’ll stick to base models. The current best Pro will probably be more or less the base model in about 6-8 years.

  • I've got a 12.9 and I couldn't go smaller. The bigger the better.

    Spatial crackle mmmmm

  • Surely with a bigger iPad they can squeeze in a headphone port?

    17" Would be perfect.

  • It would be nice to put the word "rumour" in the title of this thread.

It might come with a pencil sharpener. The keyboard is detachable. Just unplug it and away you go. 🤣

  • Being an owner of an iPad Pro with the new built in spatial crackle, got to say the crackle emulation is sub par for apple. I expected more of a vinyl crackle. Definitely room for improvement.
