Loguemill - Korg -logue effects editor
I’ve just run into this amazing app developed by Roll-Log Sounds, one of the best coders working on the Logue series and I thought it could be useful for a few people here. It’s an editor to create custom effects for the Korgs without writing a single line of code (I’m using them in the NTS-1).
It’s pay-what-you-wish which is an absolute steal considering that you can make your own effects to no end.
You can make stereo modulatable delays with filters Del-8 and a pair of stereo variable state filters MVF-22. The amount of parameters to customize rivals the best effects in iOS and it produces files that can be loaded flawlessly into any of the three slots in the unit. Another great function is that you can save different presets into a single slot.
My first attempt is a stereo filter that uses different curves (lin/exp) to change the time parameter for each channel to produce interesting polyrhythms with a LPF filter that feedbacks into the delay lines. The forum won’t let me upload .ntkdigunit files but I can host it elsewhere if anyone would like to try it.
I was posting to ask if anyone had used it since I was having trouble figuring out some details, but then I found a very complete manual on the website.
One day I’ll try to develop something through code, but for now this will keep me hella occupied!

Definitely looks interesting, I have the Prologue but I don’t know how to create custom user oscillators or effects because I don’t know how to write code either.
Good find @dvi, thanks!
Korg needs to hurry up with the Wuhan gadget so we can play with this on iOS
Nice, and don't forget momo editor for deep control of that lil nts.
I’m holding out for the Donal-Logue
lol.
I'd prefer it as auv3 and since we're dreaming, an editor to create custom oscillators and effects!
Great synth!
I had the chance to play one next to a few modern Prophets and I preferred the sound of the Prologue.
Nice find @dvi ! Would be great trying your creations, could you send it by PM?
It really is a beast, I went all in and got the Prologue 16, I wouldn’t mind a Prophet in my arsenal but I’m extremely pleased with the Prologue. Having the digital multi engine on top of the 2 analog oscillators is crazy. I bought the Behringer Poly D a few months ago, it’s a great synth for the money but sometimes a pain to use it as a polyphonic synth, I’m alway having to tune each oscillator lol. So I had to get a true polyphonic synth, I’m definitely a happy camper with it
Hi! thanks for your interest!
I decided to share the patches I've made with Loguemill for the NTS-1 here and motivate others to join the party. This .zip file contains two patches I've been having fun with:
One is a kind of two-tap Space Echo + LPF for the Delay Slot, which incidentally produces great karplus-strong type sounds when feedback is turned all the way up. The A knob has two functions: both sides control delay time symmetrically, but it is mono if turned left, while if turned right it augments Stereo Spread. At full right, the delay is at 0% and the Spread is at 100%, which can be useful in some cases. B controls Feedback. Shift-B controls the LPF cutoff. The resonance is fixed at 2.58db. It sounds pretty good with the Ruismaker custom OSC, a must if you don't have it yet
The other is an attempt to fix what I think is the biggest shortcoming in the NTS-1, namely that the filter cutoff can't be modulated (well, it can be modulated by midi CC 43 but that's a different story). This patch for the MOD slot adds a LPF with the cutoff modulated by a sine-wave LFO (sadly no other shapes are possible). The LFO can go to pretty high audio-rate frequencies (not sure which specifically) and produces crazy, wacky Filter FM modulation effects. The A knob has two functions: when turned left, it controls the cutoff (keeping the LFO amplitude fixed), when turned right it controls the LFO amplitude (fully opening the filter). The B knob controls the LFO rate.
Slightly more detailed instructions in the .zip file. I might keep adding to this pack.
You can (and should!) load these into the Loguemill editor and adjust to your taste. It's a powerful piece of software and I'm still figuring it out. I think if it gets more attention by users it will be developed further!
These come with no licenses or responsibilities attached, and neither me nor Roll-log Sounds are responsible of what might happen to your device, especially with untested -logue synths!
PS: I think the editor has a way to test with sounds from the computer but I haven't managed to get it running. That would certainly speed up the process of designing patches. If anyone gets it please let me know!
Bonus tip: you can make Delay patches for the MOD section with loguemill, which gives you two chained delays for extra madness, Since the MOD stage seems to take less computing power, it lets you run two custom effects simultaneously.
Enjoy!
Thanks! Will try it with the NTS and MinilogueXD. About the Ruismaker OSC... never heard of that.... do you have a link?.

Great!
@dvi
these are two great patches you made available! Thanks!! Have you come up with more since your last post? Just got the NTS-1 so only just downloaded the logueMill Editor recently. Can't find a lot of info on the internet on this yet...
