What are all of the things you turn off when you record?
I'm trying to maximize the CPU and system memory that is available when I am recording. So, for example I will put my ipad in airplane mode.
I'd love to hear what other people disable when they are playing or recording.

if you're concerned about RAM/CPU usage you could also try a reboot to clear out the RAM. it may help, may not
I turn off my mind man and just let the grooves flow through me.
I also do a cMemory clean after disabling all my apps before starting the bus up. Then I ride.

Hope.
Close all apps
Delete appa and app data I don't need (e.g. Empty trash in Cubasis) to free as much disk space as possible
Go to airplane mode
Reboot
cMemory
I close out unnecessary apps but nothing other than that on my iPad Air.
I'm still on iPad 2, so everything that I'm not using for the moment, including AB. And, airplane mode.
What is cMemory?
This is cMemory.

We also had a pretty length thread about it, which was at varying times informative, hilarious, and terror-inducing.

Basically, it's an "underpants gnome" app whereby the gnomes are either meticulously cleaning out your RAM, or possibly selling your personal information to the Far East. Depending on which posts you believe. I have trouble believing that Apple would approve an app that either did (a) absolutely nothing while parading as a utility app or (b) something malicious. But I also find it hard to believe that a free or 99 cent app would be able to do things that probably should have been built into the operating system to begin with, but weren't.
I had it temporarily and the placebo effect worked for me, but I didn't believe in the "magic" enough to leave it on my device. Not saying I won't download it again the next time I get slowdown

If only they would add this to the app store description!
TV, AC, fridge, fans, pick a time when there's a lesser chance of road traffic
These are all the tips I was able to gather for getting the most out of your system:
