Apogee Sale!! (HypeMic, MiC+, Groove, One & More!!)

Lots of goodies to be had if you don’t mind factory refurbished!

Couple notes: No duet or symphony but that hypemic at that price looks intriguing 🤔 .

The MiC+ might be the best deal on here.

At $150 it’s a real steal, especially when coupled with the Fabfilter, Toneboosters & Mixbox Auv3’s

Apogee One will not work fully on usb-c iOS devices! Also, I wonder how the groove is compared to the dragonfly dac? If it’s in the sound quality ballpark, it might be a great deal since it also has an ‘in’.

  • I already own the Jam + and Mic +, both are great tools. I thought about the HypeMic but I prefer using compression in post. Though it would definitely be cool with live podcasting, but I don’t do any of that. I know it’s probably nothing and all perfectly fine but refurnished gear make me wonder.

How’s the Mic+ compared to other mics you’ve used? Is this a good deal at $150?

Same here. I find the earthworks usb much more useful for those scenarios since it has good rejection of the ambient environment like a dynamic.

Ya refurbished is always questionable... but look at those deals 🤑

  • The Apogee One doesn't work on the USB C iPad Models?

I would definitely say it’s a good deal for $150, I’ve never used another mic for my IPad except for the Apogee mic 96k, they both sound great, I’ve recorded vocals and acoustic guitar and was really surprised, especially with the acoustic guitar, it picked up so much detail. I bought the Mic+ because I upgraded from an IPad Air 2 to an IPad Pro with no headphone jack, and it works with USB C. My main mic is the Neumann TLM 103 thru the Symphony Desktop but the Mic + is still great for quick reference vocals and portability. But I’d say it not just for reference vocals, you can get some great usable tracks, it’s Apogee 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thanks for sharing. I’ve got the TLM 103 also, how would you say they compare? I’m on an endless journey to grab as much interesting gear as possible, especially when it’s minimalist and portable.

Also, how’s the DAC of the MiC + for you compared to the symphony desktop? Laughable question I’m sure, but I’m curious
