  • Aloha browser.

It took me a long time to get over the hangup of not being able to just click the standard browser but after a time it took. Its ad-blocker is the best, doesn’t autoplay anything that I can remember if you don’t touch it, and you can background YouTube. Worth considering in my book. Totally understand why you’d just want Safari to be a non-hassle though.

  • CNN has been doing it for years. Its yptakes over the audio stream.
Im just chilling listening to SomaFM, and when you go to cnn, poof...no more music
    Annoying.
Wouldnt be suprised if they are doing the same thing.

  • Just did a quick search, and it looks like Settings/Accessibility/Motion/Auto-play video previews is what you need to turn off. At least it seems to work on CNN, having had a brief look just now.

  • I always imagined that the first post from the future would be about something more interesting than auto-play videos. Can you tell us anything new and exciting in iPadOS 16? Are we still waiting for Logic? 😜

Cause motion settings seems the most logical place for "autoplay" to reside.

(Indroduced in ios13. Ive been dealing with it far longer than that so i just stopped searching for a solution, lol. Thank you)
