Split Screen Multitasking in iOS8?
A rumour site but gruber linked to it without skepticism... http://9to5mac.com/2014/05/13/apple-plans-to-match-microsoft-surface-with-split-screen-ipad-multitasking-in-ios-8/#more-322953

Imagine Korg Gadget on a splitted screen. Then you could play a four voiced chord alone with your little finger ;-)
You can do something like that already with a new jb tweak:
Yes that JB been around over a year now so good to see Apple maybe taking the idea seriously.
Some people use phones to make music so I presume running 2 iphone apps side by side on an ipad doesn't seem that crazy to me. Of course gadget has no iphone version. This also makes me think that maybe Apple are going to release a 13" tablet after all.

I find that hard to swallow...

Try a pessary [lol]

What exactly?
Really?
That's a good effort @PaulB no match to pessary though!
Always a mistake to explain a joke...
13" tablet? Really? Wouldn't that defeat the very idea of being mobile? A 13" iPad? That would be a bitter pill to swallow for a lot of people :-)
I'd love to play Geo Synth on a 13" tablet. It would make some piano style keyboards more practical too.

Don't forget that laptops were invented to be portable. When you think of a laptop 13" is about the minimum. We're not talking tascabile but portable geddit? ;-)
Also, bigger mobile devices are trending right now, in general. Look at what Samsung's been releasing lately.
For me, I'm just thinking live. Yet for all of the other musicians out there at least an option to have a bigger screen must be a good thing. And yes, of course it is kind of response to surface and Android but also what they have always said: osx and ios merge.

Doesn't do to make a joke too obscure...
