TB Reverb quieter than others?
When I use TB reverb, I get the impression it’s quieter than other reverbs. Just did some rudimentary test:
1. AUM with an instrument driven by Rozeta Collider (I used Pure Piano and also tried with Viking Synth)
2. Added 2 aux sends with aux all the way up (0db I think)
3. Added a buss channel with Eos2 reverb
4. Added a buss channel with TB Reverb
5. Loaded a similar preset in both reverbs (a hall preset)
When watching AUM meters on the reverb channels, it seemed TB was 6 db lower. Both are 100% wet, 0% dry.
Anyone else notice this?
How to “turn up” the output of TB?
Comments
TB Reverb has a lot of controls. Try increasing the values in the expert settings and your Q points.
I have noticed that too. I think many other reverbs compress the wet signal behind the scene. Try the "Comp" knob and see if that helps. I find that turning the knob high gets me similar levels to other reverbs. A common theme in TB plugins is that they seem to be tailored towards subtle manipulations, and it's not easy to get an in your face sound out of them.
That’s why it’s so good! I hate in your face reverbs. This and the Fab are the best for me.
Compressor knob seems to fix it, thank you!
Same here, but it almost seemed so quiet compared to EOS2, that when I bypassed it, I could barely tell a difference in the sound. Using as an AUX send vs. as an insert, with dry off and wet @100%.
BitJuggler definitely being the exception 😝
yep, that one gets crazy real quick.
For real, it’s nice and subtle and doesn’t feel like an exaggerated space
