Sync the timeline between Helium and DigiStix 2 ?
Is there a way to match up and sync both Helium and Digistix2 timelines together? So they go the same number of bars and the play head syncs between both apps?
Comments
i can’t seem to find any sync between the apps
I’m guessing you’d just use them both in a host like AUM, I don’t see other sync options in stand alone modes. I usually just them inside AUM if I’m using both apps
Even though both can be run independently of a host you still need a host of some sort if you want to sync them, and then set both to host control.
If you want to easily jump to a particular bar then you can use AUM which lets you scrub the timeline but it is a bit fiddly. Running them both inside a DAW such as Cubasis will let you easily move around the timeline and these timeline changes will be reflected in both Helium and DS2. If you want/need to host them in a more DAWless way yet still be able to jump around the timeline then you could try hosting them inside apeMatrix and use a DAW simply for controlling the timeline, e.g. https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/45519/mt-daw-controls-apematrix-timeline or https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/45478/sync-cubasis-and-apematrix-via-iaa-host-sync
