Microphone required for recording vocals
So I'm gradually working on my iPad setup. I have a Chapman ML-1 electric guitar that I'm connecting with the iRig HD. Now I need a microphone for laying down vocals. Does anyone know the release date of the iRig Mic HD? It seems to have slipped from 'early Q2'. Are there any other options that people would recommend for less than $99 (or sterling equivalent. I'm in the UK)? Pre-amp would be nice, but I was wondering if I could achieve the same kind of gain control in an app like Audioshare...
What about something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAMSON-METEOR-Samson-Meteor-Microphone/dp/B004MF39YS
Your help and advice would be much appreciated!
EDIT: Ah, looks like I could also use an XLR to 1/4 cable to use the pre-amp gain control on the iRig HD. That gives me many more microphone options!

The zoom iq5 is a decent budget option:

Not sure how it compares to the Meteor though, but it's very convenient since you just plug it straight into the lighting port. It has a headphone socket for monitoring and a gain control dial.
