Yeah, props to them on that. as much as i love samplewiz, the fact that they lag on updatin their apps makes this a nice substitute. been my fave app the last few days although i wish it didnt take so long to load samples. plus when i restart app, i always have to reload sample.
Even if app is 32 bit, audio would still be limited in that currently audiobus is 16 bit. Same scenario with multitrack in that its 24 bit, 48 kHz compatible but ab limited to 44.1. I've been trying to figure optimal workflow to stay creative while also getting highest quality recording. Actually I think I'll start a new thread on this topic
bought this app and yes, it takes FOREVER to load samples. itʻs just generally pretty bad in the responsiveness department. not sure i can recommend it until some optimizations are done.
problem is, only other alternative is samplewiz and it aint gonna be on bus soon. grain science is too powerful for the simple task of time stretching out the sample so it doesnt speed up or down.
only other practical tool is ableton on laptop
Loopy does time stretching if that's any use to you.
Hopefully Geosynth will be soon, and Samplewiz has got a back door route into audiobus via that, using the S->G button to transfer the sample
@PhilW - Thanks for reminding of that. Actually, for what I use Vokey for, Loopy's timestretching doesn't help as I like to sample diff sounds and use it as a keyboard sound, thus need the timing to stay the same, not speed up or slow down. But, I tend to use Looptastic a lot for piecing random loops together and never thought of using Loopy for that (I'm thinking "duh" as I type this while reading Loopy) I guess what Looptastic has over Loopy for me is that they have a crapload of drum loops ready to go so I naturally got accustomed to using premade loops to sync in with their loops. I'll give Loopy more a deeper look.
