iPhone production// do you force close all apps before starting ?
So like the title says…. On my iPad I am OCD about making sure that if I am going to start anything music wise that I close everything and go into airplane mode. Do you all do the same that produce on your iPhone? I am starting to do mini projects and the other day when I looked I had like 3230 apps open.
Plus I am old AF and now that I have caved and bought some readers at Walgreens…. I CAN SEE on my phone. 😂

Yes. Everything must go. Even a soft reset “holding down” the home button to clear memory
Always. Same on iPad.
Nah. Never. I trust that the 'Open' apps aren't actually open and let the OS take care of all of that kind of nonsense ;-)
I do force quit audio apps to stop them eating battery in the background when I'm finished with audio though, but never bother quitting anything beforehand. Every now and then (we're talking weeks not days) I'll restart the phone for no good reason.
I rarely even use airplane mode on my iPhone... If I'm using my phone to make music it's generally because I want to get an idea down fast any faffing about just makes me forget what I was doing!
So yeah. No. Not on my iPhone. And I've never had any kind of performance issues with my iPhone 11. I run out of room on the screen before I ever run out of CPUs.
I format the device and put it through a shredder.
I didn’t used to until I started seeing my iPad slowly charge down after using it. I guess something was sitting in memory and draining power, but I couldn’t figure out what it was. The easy solution was to shut down all apps after I use it, so do that every time now.
Ya…. I need to get used to this as I do on my ipad. Thanks all!!
I stopped feeling the need to do this on the M1 iPad Pro, but I do still do it on the iPhone.
lmao 🤣
PSA: if you don't force close any audio apps on your phone (AUM, Drambo, CB3 etc..) you might miss an important phone call!
My iPhone has never done it, so don’t do it on that. I only ever noticed it on my iPad.
Which now brings me back to the. FRREAKING apple. Why can’t we have a non jailbreak solution to closing out all apps at once. 🤬
