Launchpad X Scales

I'm more and more often using the LPX for playing notes. So I was interested in which scales it does offer. The information in the handbook in incomplete so I searched and I found this neat image from https://karachinsky.ru/launchpad/

That version of the manual is either old or erroneous. I have an X and the scales are just as shown in @krassman's post.

its just the one I had on my ipad. apparently its been updated? gkillmaster's link shows updated 3 months ago?
Recent update I wasnt aware of maybe? I moved on from the X long ago.

One of my wish lists for LPs was to be able to assign what scales you want in there in the components app.
I'd probably leave ukranian dorian tho seeing that is all the rage with the kids these days /sarcasm

    (tuned to a432 of course)

@AlmostAnonymous the manual page that you show is, like I said, not correct. It does not show all the scales. @gkillmaster ’s link and my picture are correct. The current version of the manual is still this what you have. It’s a pity they didn’t update the manual.

True, would be great to make this customizable in the components app.

Instead of offering more or less scales they should simply provide a custom scales utility in components and make everybody happy. There’s so many products associated with components that it would be more than justified.

I often find myself wanting that extra note not present in the provided set and needing to use chromatic on my Circuit.

  • How are you guys finding brightness on your launch products? I found LPX and both OG and circuit tracks unusable outdoors.

  • I think the possible brightness levels is a reasonable compromise. When outdoors I use an IKEA Dröna for my iPad and another for the Launchpad.

  • By the way I only discovered these layouts for
the Launchpad X today because of this thread.

I thought they were only accessible using
sysex so I didn't think anything of them.

I also didn't realise that we could change
the midi channel for 'Notes' mode and
    I've been customising the other
four modes for months now. Smh...

    Thank you. 😏
