[OT] Apple ID question
A friend has received a company iPad for a project. He wants to purchase a few synths to play with, but it’s the company iCloud account. He does have his own.
Is it possible to suspend/switch accounts so he can buy things to use on this iPad while he has it? He is asking me and I have no idea. Thanks!

I think you can log out of one Apple ID (in the App Store only—no need to completely log out of everything), log in with another, make purchases, and switch back.
I have done this in the past. Not tried recently.
I guess @mistercharlie told me so…

I didn‘t verify if it still works the same way as it did several years ago, but IIRC the app store will only update apps for the existing account. So one needs to switch the account used for the app store from time to time to either update the apps of the original account or the apps of the secondary account.
I used to select the apps one by one to update because selecting „Update All“ brought up a message box about not beeing able to update the app of the other account which had to be dismissed before the app store continued with its update process. The app store account is changed in the Settings app under „ITunes & App Store“.

Will pass along - thanks!
I still have to switch app store accounts. You can still sign out of just the app store and sign in with another account and leave the main appleID in place.
Now weather your friends iDevice is MDM managed and the company allows that modification is a different story. All depends how they set up the MDM to distribute apps.
@AlmostAnonymous - good to know!
