Turn off arp in drambo

Does anyone know how I can make a switch to turn on and off the arpegio in Drambo.

  • I don’t know your use case purpose so here’s an ‘Arp’ on/off screenshot.

When you press the note on the pad the ‘Arp’ will sound and the ‘Switch’ module
can be used to switch on and off the ‘Arp’, until you stop pressing the pad.
The ‘Switch’, module in this screenshot basically acts as a bypass.
Make sure you connect the gate signal from ‘Midi to CV’, to the ‘X-fader’, module.

Another way to do it would be to map a cc message to the ‘Arp’ module itself.

There are a few ways. Here’s another alternative, which builds a switch that switches between 2 midi filters.
Note that all of this can be hidden in a rack, so all you see is the ‘switch’ button itself.

  • Perhaps the easiest way would be to simply engage the ‘mute’ button, and then tap the arpeggiator header. Mute isn’t just for audio tracks. When mute is active, you can enable or disable any module too.

The real question is how do you want to operate the switch? A p-lock? An incoming note or cc? An lfo?

  • Thanks so much to all who offered advice. Problem solved. Time to make some music.

Oh wow, I never knew that!

  • Just putting it out there. When modules are in a rack and compacted, tapping the header bypasses the module, without needing to be in mute mode.

    Thank you Ben!

  • N-1 Switches can be used to distribute Pitch, Gate, and Velocity (if needed), from two or more MIDI to CV modules.

This method can be used to quickly switch one synth build from a Poly Mode to an ARP Mode. A Mono module could be added for one synth that has three play modes... Poly, ARP, and Mono.
