static

3rd idevice. Original apple cck. UsbA to usbc to a deck ( headachesound omni ) usbc. Then line out with psuedo balanced cables to audio 4c line in.

Sometimes theres static that gets into the audio when touching screens.

Can the problem route through the audio cables or because this ipad will be on a different systems, so not good to touch screens across devices.

Will check with a zoom u44 rather than audio4c.

With deck not switched to dvs, so no internal sound card used.

What about the expensive psuedo balanced rca cables I bought. Would you recommend normal cables?

What about an ipad case that could eliminate issue if its caused by touching ipad metal and then another ipad.

Not essential but would have been cool. Another screen app, plus a background dj program with timecode vinyl ( with an ok echo effect ) Not as good as auv3 effects though.

Dont want to damage system/gear/ipads, if it hasnt already.

What do you think?

    1. Be sure all power adapters for all devices are plugged into 1 surge protector. Surge protector plugged into 1 wall power outlet. (Don't use multiple wall power outlets or multiple surge protectors.)
    2. Be sure nothing else is plugged into that wall power outlet, like microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher, dryer, radiator, or wireless device. (Only plug in iPad stuff.) If this isn't possible, find another free wall power outlet in your home to test on.
    3. Check for static.

    If static still exists:

    1. Unplug deck from everything. Check for static.
    2. Use regular RCA-to-1/4" cables to connect deck to Audio4c. Check for static.
    3. Unplug Audio4c from everything. Check for static.
    4. Plug in U44. Check for static.
    5. Get rid of that carpet under your feet.

Thanks ocelot. Will check more. Or not bother if it might damage system. Will have to just forget about a 3rd device.
