After a bit of testing in various hosts, some work and some crash on AU removal. One of the hosts that crashes on AU removal is the example host from Apple. Should be able to do a bit of testing there to see what the issue is, but I suspect that it is a problem in the beta and not the hosts.

Ok.. so I am not alone.. Thanks..

Nope, you're not alone and after some further testing, it looks like hosts will crash on the removal of any AU with a custom UI. It trips a deallocation error in what looks like AVFoundation code (I think, I'm having some trouble finding the exact location). Time to do some bug reporting to Apple.

    Anyone else seeing this?

The public beta 2 was working pretty well aside from a few issues that I could work around. The public beta 3 breaks search in spotlight. I’ve gathered I can get it back with a full reinstall but haven’t tried that yet. Just a cautionary note to those considering upgrading.

Perhaps you should rename this thread to just iPadOS15 Beta?

It’s not only about beta 3…
    Thanks!
